The OWA team wanted to give users a richer, more engaging experience, so they decided to offer 10 different themes users could choose from to make their OWA UI more personal and fun. The themes needed to cover a broad range of design styles to cater to a diverse audience. The team wanted to ensure an expansive selection as well as accommodate high resolutions for promotional materials.
Four senior designers were assigned and began with an extensive brain-storming session. The resulting list was then winnowed down to four concepts. At the first review, the client liked so many of the concepts the project expanded from 10 to 14 designs.
The client was wild about a successful delivery of high-quality artwork – on time and on budget. The OWA themes are now used all over the world.
